Guacamole Fresh Pico de Gallo (Printable)

A creamy avocado blend accented by tangy lime and fresh pico de gallo for bright flavors and texture.

# What You'll Need:

→ For the Guacamole

01 - 3 ripe avocados
02 - 1 small garlic clove, minced
03 - 2 tbsp finely chopped red onion
04 - 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
05 - 1 lime, juiced
06 - 1/2 tsp kosher salt
07 - 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

→ For the Pico de Gallo

08 - 1 medium tomato, seeded and finely diced
09 - 2 tbsp finely chopped red onion
10 - 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced
11 - 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
12 - 1 tbsp lime juice
13 - 1/4 tsp kosher salt

# How To Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl, scoop out the avocado flesh and mash with a fork until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
02 - Add the minced garlic, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the avocados. Mix gently to combine.
03 - In a separate bowl, combine the diced tomato, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Stir well.
04 - Spread the guacamole into a serving bowl. Spoon the fresh pico de gallo over the top. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or as a topping for tacos and burritos.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The texture is everything—creamy avocado meets crunch from the pico in every single bite
  • It comes together in twenty minutes flat but tastes like you spent way more time on it
02 -
  • Leaving the avocado pit in the bowl does absolutely nothing to prevent browning—press plastic wrap directly onto the surface instead
  • Mixing the pico into the guacamole instead of layering it on top will make everything soggy within an hour
03 -
  • Toast your cumin seeds in a dry pan for thirty seconds before crushing them into the guacamole for a smoky depth
  • Grate a tiny bit of fresh lime zest over the finished dish for an aromatic pop
