Green Matcha Latte Oat (Printable)

A creamy and vibrant green tea latte blended with frothy oat milk and naturally sweetened.

# What You'll Need:

→ Matcha Mixture

01 - 1 teaspoon high-quality matcha powder
02 - 2 tablespoons hot water (about 80°F / 175°F)

→ Latte

03 - 1 cup oat milk
04 - 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or sweetener of choice (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Sift the matcha powder into a mug to remove clumps. Add the hot water. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or small regular whisk until smooth and frothy.
02 - Heat the oat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling. Alternatively, microwave in a microwave-safe container for 45–60 seconds.
03 - Froth the oat milk using a milk frother or whisk until foamy.
04 - Pour the oat milk into the mug with matcha, holding back the foam with a spoon, then spoon the foam on top. Stir in maple syrup or sweetener, if desired.
05 - Serve immediately, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of matcha powder on top.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The L-theanine in matcha creates calm focus instead of coffee jitters
  • Oat milk adds natural creaminess that perfectly balances matchas earthy notes
  • You can make cafe-quality lattes at home in under ten minutes
02 -
  • Sifting matcha prevents those frustrating clumps that never dissolve no matter how much you whisk
  • Water temperature dramatically affects taste—boiling water makes matcha unpleasantly bitter
  • Barista-style oat milk creates the best foam but regular oat milk still works
03 -
  • A bamboo whisk (chasen) creates better foam than a regular whisk but either works
  • Invest in a small kitchen scale to measure water temperature precisely
  • Pre-warm your mug with hot water for a latte that stays hot longer
